San Joaquin County officials are trying to prepare for Gulf Coast evacuees, like the Glass family, who are trickling into Stockton and other cities in the hurricane's wake. Dozens of people have sought shelter in the county, and many more are expected during the next week, said Andy Prokop, director of the local United Way."We're expecting somewhere in the neighborhood of 200 people in the next few days,"

Prokop said.Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger agreed Tuesday to house 1,000 evacuees in San Diego, San Francisco and San Jose, and said the state would accept more if asked by the Federal Emergency Management Agency.


Okay, we have enough fools in California we don't need to bring in any more!! lol Just kidding.. I heard there is this guy going there to bring bus loads of those people back to Stockton, and there are people that will be letting them stay in their houses.. That is pretty charitable .. I could not let a complete stranger stay in my house.
