Online dating



I think dating online is a good idea and all, but some of the people on there have issues! lol You start talking to someone and it seems all good, then one day you realize it's been a couple weeks and you have not heard from them.. You think... "Ok, was it something I said??" A lot of people are addicted to the internet, and they get stuck in this online world with no intentions of meeting the people they talk to online. It's sad they are wasting their life away alone in front of a computer..

I think I have had about 15 e-mail connections with guys in the past couple months, and have not met up with 1 of them.. Sometimes I think these guys just get online when they are bored and are really not looking to meet someone. They probably have a girlfriend or wife at home. Which that is a whole other issue I could go on about! Don't get me started!! lol

Well The one good thing from this online crap is a couple years ago when I first got "online" I made a few good friends that I am still friends with. You can never have too many friends! Just the other day I seen a old friend on yahoo and sent him a e-mail, so tomorrow we are meeting up after work to catch up. ;-)

  • The problem with online dating is that it is online. You dont actually meet the person, you just meet a representation of them through an e-mail. A wirrten exchange can never substitute actually meeting somebody in person because on the internet you can mask personal qualities. You cannot mask your inability to develop prose if you are on a dinner date, but you can very easily spend time writing an e-mail that sounds eloquent and romantic.

    Moreover, it is easy to see if somebody is genuine in their stories and experiences because of acial expressions. Meeting a date via the Internet lacks that ability. Even webcams don't satsify this problem. The quality of these video exhancges are blurry and it is difficult to make out facial expressions (in my view, everyone looks like a moron through a webcam).

    So the reason you find these guys who really don't care about dating or who eventually blow you off is because the people who are actually sociable go on real dates because they understand the flaws in online dating. So, in my opinion, just go try out one of those speed dating things if you're that in need of finding severa potential dates.

  • The whole world with internet access is sitting in front of the computer at some part of the day. When you think of the men or women on the street, you know roughly who you are communicating with. Online dating is a way to escape from the boring everyday reality stuff like the same boyfriend's or hubby's face. Of course, while many people are married, there are many others who are not. If you need a real relationship, you have no choice but to meet.

  • Roger that Monie, I've made some good online friends as well. I've all but abandoned the online dating stuff for romance, but it definitely comes in handy if your planning to hit a new city where they live; XLNT inside scoops on what to do there.
